This review is from: AMAZING!! NEW Indian Ghodiyu Baby Swing Hammock -DELUXE (Baby Product)
I was so excited to receive this ghoidyu. After emailing the company about missing parts and lack of instructions (they don't have instructions btw), I finally had a friend who happened to be a PHD in engineering help me out. We put the ghodiyu together in about 10 minutes and I was shocked at how unstable this thing is. I was certain we set it up incorrectly. I emailed Rakesh, the owner or the company, and he refused to accept a return and in fact wrote quite a nasty email back to me. Seriously? He suggested I put weight in the hammock to create stability. Why would I put a baby in an unstable object hoping/wishing to create stability? I don't understand the logic.
The metal pieces do not flush together at all. The nuts/bolts have rust on them. The entire product is a disaster. I have shopped for many of my baby products online and have carefully read other mom reviews before purchasing. I have had great success with this approach except for this product and...Read more

My baby loves it!!,

The only place my baby falls asleep. I have to swing it for a while, but as long as she is happy thats all that matters. I wish I had an option of what type of pattern the hammock comes, but they just send a random pattern it is not what you see in the advertisement.

This review is from: AMAZING!! NEW Indian Ghodiyu Baby Swing Hammock -DELUXE (Baby Product)
I purchased this item from for my 5 month old daughter, and she loves it. I purchased the Deluxe model they offered. True story, when we got the item, I had to literraly assemble 2 nuts on the end and it was up and running. Then I put the hammock on the hooks. My daughter was crying from an upset stomach, colic?
Anyways, I then put her into the ghodiyu, and started rocking back and forth. In an instant she stopped crying. I called my wife out from the kitchen who was so amazed. Now whenever she cries, I just put her in the ghodiyu and rock her back and forth. It's awesome.
My guess is something about the swinging motion makes the baby feel relaxed. Who knows. Also, because of this my baby doesn't need to co-sleep with my wife and I anymore. So we have more personal time together.
