Seat Helps Babies Develop Balance While Having FunWhether you're around the house or at the park on a summer day, the unique design of the Babysitter Balance utilizes babies' movement to generate a natural, rocking motion, so they can entertain themselves for hours--all without the use of batteries. By creating his or her own movement, your baby will develop balance and build important motor skills.
The chair can be securely locked into three different positions so your baby can sleep, rest, and play in comfort. The chair is suitable for newborns and holds up to a maximum weight of 29 pounds. When your baby is old enough to sit down in the Babysitter on his or her own, you can remove the restraint system and it will become a comfortable resting chair.
Breathable Mesh Fabric Keeps Baby Cool and DryMade of an airy mesh fabric designed to keep your baby cool and comfortable, the Babysitter Balance Air is soft to your baby's skin and durable for long-term use. The seat's ergonomic design provides support for your baby's back and head, while the fabric molds comfortably around your baby's body.
All fabrics and materials used in BABYBJÖRN Baby Balances that come into contact with baby's skin are Öeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certified, an international safety standard for textiles, and contain no health-hazardous substances. This means that during your baby's teething phase, you can allow your baby to nibble or suck on the fabric without worry.

I hardly ever write reviews, but for this product I just had to. I have a 4 year old son that I wish I would have discovered this chair sooner.... I am a big fan of reading parents reviews and couldn't find many on this particular item.... I have a 2 month old right now and I was researching bouncers before she was born, I had a large swing that was my sons which he loved.... I needed something a little more compact. Well let me just tell you , I was a little skeptical on spending that kind of $$ on a bouncer.... But it had a couple of pros light weight, can be washed, and can be folded for trips to grandma's house. I have had this bouncer since my daughter was 1 week old and she LOVES it, and so do I.... as a tiny infant she would fall asleep on it as her own motion would rock her, and she looked so comfy, I also purchased the wood toy, which at 1 week old didn't really make sense. As the proud parents of three children, we have discovered that each child is very different. The baby equipment that works great for one child does not work at all for another. This is the first time we have tried a bouncer like this one, and it has been a hit. Our two month old son loves it. I would highly recommend also getting the toy bar that attaches across the front. We bought the Babybjorn, even though it is more expensive, because it is light and it folds down very small. It has worked out wonderfully for us.

This chair is amazing! I normally do not write reviews but if it wasn't for the rave reviews that I had read about the Babysitter Balance I would have never spent the money. It's absolutely worth every dime! My baby girl is only 7 weeks old and we both have loved it from the first day home from the hospital- it's super easy to rock her to sleep (which is so easy at the tap of the foot and becomes second nature) or she loves just sitting upright and looking around the room or at me. I can easily move her and the chair from room to room so I can cook dinner or even take a shower! It's already been in the laundry twice and you would never know it. One of the big draws for me was the fact that I live in an apartment and didn't want gigantic swings or multiple chairs taking up every inch of space... this is the one and only chair needed. And the best part is she can use it for many more months than she would a swing or a vibrating bouncy chair. Without a doubt, money well invested!
