I'm a first time mom. My son is now 6 months, in the 95%, probably about 20-22 lbs. A fairly strong core (holding his head up, etc) and he has a pretty easy disposition.
At first I found it difficult to get my son in and take him out of the jumper. But, I guess it just takes some practice and finesse. Also, there's not much for a baby to do in the jumper besides bounce and sit, which is fine because my son seems to really enjoy doing just that. The car does have working lights, as well as 'sounds and music', but there is no off button...you have to physically unscrew the battery cover and take out the battery to make it stop. And, you'll definitely want to make it stop. I think there is two songs that plays over and over. I'm not sure, the melody is monotonous. If your baby doesn't have the motor skills to be cognizant of which buttons he presses, it would be like listening to a song skip.
I still gave this jumper a 4 out of 5, because its perfect to keep my baby...Read more

I bought this for my 8 month old. I love it but I am not fond of the fake leather seat and it's hard to get him in and out (but that is pretty standard with jumpers).
I decided to skip the batteries and my little guy doesn't even know the difference. He has a blast in it and it is an excellent purchase.

The style is so cute, the music is "fun". Face it, if you can not deal with music playing on toys then you shouldn't have kids. Ok, well maybe that is a stretch but it really is nothing to get grouchy over the music is fun and yes repetitive but the baby likes it and babies learn from repetitive. Babies are all about fun and learning through many things lights and sounds are just a couple of the many. My son loves it. He has even drifted to sleep a couple times while i swung him in it. I don't give it 5 stars though cause I can not figure out how to lower it, It actually may be at its lowest setting. I do not know what I did with the instructions but something as simple as lowering it closer to the ground shouldn't really need instructions. I put a box underneath his feet but he can not reach the floor. Like I said it could be at its lowest setting (I think it is) which means it is not built long enough. But in all reality he likes being in it and it is adorable.
