Although I bought this on sale from Kmart for $35, it is well worth the orginal price. Works just as well as a full sized swing, but takes up half the space (and cost way less)! Great for anyone with not too much room in there house/apt or families on a budget. A bonus: Everytime we put my 3 month old son in it he smiles & giggles.. love it!

With my first child, I borrowed a full-size swing similar to the Fisher-Price Rainforest Open-Top Cradle Swing. It was a life-saver... but I had to give it back before my second little one came along. I felt like a swing was an "essential," but I was a little surprised at how much the full-size ones cost. I hesitated before buying this one, unsure if the smaller size would work as well.

I'm so happy I bought it! Not only is it just as effective as the big one at "sleeping" our baby, but I love the portability. We frequently move it from room to room -- sometimes to keep the baby with us (like when she's awake at dinnertime), and sometimes to get her into a slightly quieter part of the house (like when her big brother is rambunctious while she's asleep). I was very excited to get this swing for my mother in law's house. Unfortunately, it does have some problems with starting to swing. Every time we use it, we have to push the swing manually until it finally "catches" and can swing on its own. This isn't a problem if I have the time, but sometimes it can take up to 5-10 minutes before the swing is ready to operate on its own which can be annoying. I'm not sure if ours is just defective or what, but I don't have the time to go through a return process. The good news is, once it's swinging on its own, it is fantastic, not too fast and not too slow. It is also very light weight and easy to move from room to room. My baby loves it, I just wish it could start swinging on its own.
