My 5 month old was just starting to try to lean forward like he is working on his stomach muscles. I was sitting next to him thankfully when he leaned forward just a little while the swing was on and it made him tip completely forward. He was strapped in tight and was just hanging there! Thank god I was there to catch him. I would NOT recommend this swing. I would definately buy the larger Fisher-Price swings that are more sturdy. At least you will be able to leave the room for a second and know your baby will be safe! I have nothing against Fisher Price, I just have an issue with this swing!

I got this for my 4 month old when the swing that I had from his sister stopped working. We are also going on a trip soon, and I thought a take-along swing will come in handy. With its open top, we can use the seat of the swing for feeding also. I also like the fact that the swing can easily move from room to room, unlike the full size swings that are to heavy and bulky to move. The only problem that I see is that with it being low to the ground, my 2 year old wants to sit in the swing when the baby is not in it, but she does not understand that she is to heavy. But that goes for anything the baby has.

Swings folds up small and is great for an extra swing in the basement, but not good for newborns. The seat is very flimsy and works best for a baby at about 2 1/2 months or so. Overall, we love it though. He sleeps great in the swing. We took it to Grandma's last week and it was great to have somewhere to lay the baby. I have not replaced the batteries yet and have had it for over a month. Great value for the price.
