I purchased this chair after reading several other great reviews. At the time, my baby was 1.5 months old and he is now 3 months old. He has enjoyed it from the very beginning. The chair plays two songs and has two animal sounds-a monkey and a lion. It also vibrates in a soothing manner that calms him. The music plays at a perfect volume and you can't hear when the chair is vibrating. I use this chair when I am in the kitchen, eating dinner, watching t.v., etc. It's very easy to place your foot on the front of the spring and tap it lightly to keep young ones bouncing. If needed you can also easily take off the toy bar.
