I'm not sure how long these are supposed to last. They are not built well; at first i'm sure they are wonderful, but over time they stop working, the motor gets loud, it creaks, etc. I suppose if you are having one child - go for it! But, really, don't bother spending the money if you plan on using one swing through multiple pregnancies.

I received this swing mid July as a gift and today it just died on me. While it was working it was wonderful, my son loved it! Gradually over time the swing motor was having a harder and harder time going and today it just quit swinging. Everything else on it still works. My son doesn't weigh more than 13 lbs! I liked this swing because you can plug it in, the mobile is nice and I like that you can turn the swing in three different directions. I don't like how it lasted less than 3 months and, in my case, I am unable to return it for a new one.

the swing was working great for a couple of months and now is starting to die on me. My son is 11 lbs and is finally taken a liken to it. Now all of a sudden the swing is swinging him so slow, and when i take him out of it, it resumes to a faster speed that i had originally set it too. This swing helped him fall asleep and now its not working. :(
