and then it broke. Within a month of daily use, this swing developed a squeek, then a clank, then stopped completely. My 9lb, 10 week-old loved the strong swing of this model and would snooze for hours after feeding. Then, my showering, flossing days were gone as the hot-glued engine (we looked - hot glue!) could not keep up with the packaging promises. Buy something else. I'm not sure what, I'm in the market myself, but don't buy this!

I've got an older version of this swing and LOVE it!,

I have an older version of this swing (maybe five or six years old) and it's just your basic baby swing. A step up from the old school wind up types. AND I LOVE IT!
It's nothing fancy, light-weight and easy to move (while it is bulky). It's tough, the toys (which my daughter loved) are easy to remove from the tray for cleaning or just to have them out of the way. The cover is super easy to remove for washing and doesn't fade. You can open the tray to remove baby with one hand.
Best of all, this is a sturdy, SAFE swing.
My recommendation is to use Energizer batteries. For whatever reason, they lasted the longest in this swing. I'm now going to be trying Energizer rechargeable batteries this time around and will hopefully get the same results.
Overall, this is a GREAT swing. I do recommend it. Why pay more for the fancier ones? I'd buy another one of these if anything were to happen to mine!

Our Second Swing,

The only thing I am not sure about on this swing is that it is only battery operated. There is not a plug in option. Otherwise I love it. Our first swing was purchased used and gave out a month in (she hated it the first month). We rushed out and picked this one up because she is a fussy baby and decided she did love a swing. The seat is great for an infant with the 3 position recline and the heartbeat sound is her favorite. There is a wide range of speeds on the swing so I think it will keep her happy as she gets older. It will hold up to 30lbs and is a nice height and fairly compact for a full size swing.
