This is a great bouncer and I really like the color (I have it in mondo color scheme). It was super easy to put together also. I do not use this as an entertainment seat, so if you are looking for a bouncer seat with good toys for baby to look at, find a different seat. My son is obsessed with bouncing and doesn't really care about toys to look at as long as he can look at my face, so this is perfect for him. The little toys that hang above the baby are not good baby toys as they are the wrong colors for an infant and rather boring, but since I wasn't looking for that in this seat it didn't bother me. I do like the fact that this seat is wider than the other bouncers because my baby is rather big (we call him Bubba!). While it is nice because it is wider, it is not long enough. They placed the control panel for the vibration function right at the base of the babies feet so they have that hard plastic box to kick when they are sitting in the chair...why?!?!?! Pro: It's a solid bouncy chair, which most newborns like, and most newborn parents love because it really frees you up when your arms are jelly or you're about to burn dinner (ok, and any time you need 5).
Con: 4month old Ella's addicted to it, now. We'll have a tough time transitioning her because she had reflux and slept better (ie longer) in the chair. The critique that the plastic box is reachable is valid, our long little girl was kicking at it before she hit 4months. Also, the vibration was not popular, but it chewed up batteries the couple of times we tried it out. Also, the "hood" was unnecessary even if she did like the detachable moon, stars, etc for a couple of weeks around 2 months old.

Net Review: A HUGE help, but many bouncy chairs are. Maybe it wasn't worth 60 but the rain sounds and comfy quality were really addictive for our little girl. At 4months she IS outgrowing it though (and everything else).

This is a great relaxing seat, not an entertainment seat. Everything about it is geared towards relaxation, (hence the "Soothe" in the name.) That kind of goes against the "bouncer" concept. I had a brightly colored super bouncy with crazy toys for my older child, but with the 10,000 baby toys and things, I really just wanted something less obnoxious this time around. My daughter loves the vibrations and the sounds. We've been using the same batteries for over 3 months now, so it's not a big battery waster and that's nice. The reason for the 4 stars is because it was a little annoying to put together. Graco, IMO, is terrible at instrction booklets. Nothing is labeled, the illustrations are always too small, and there are hardly any words to walk you through. There were a couple of times that I put something in the wrong way. Also, there are styrofoam tubes around the frame, and they LOOK like they're just packaging - as so many toys come with the same type of protective foam...Read more
