To start off with she, like many babies, has a developing digestive system. Putting her in this chair after feeding has greatly helped her to keep her milk down. The "vibrate" function helped to sooth her and stop her crying during her difficult colic from 2.5-7 weeks! Now that she's 3 months old, she giggles and laughs as she paws and grasps toys we attach to the play bar. She loves to sit in her chair and kick her legs up and down to "rock" the chair while she baby talks and watches mommy or daddy cook dinner. Pros -No actual settings for position. Simply open the levers on each side and select your own incline position for the chair. -Color -- The tan crimson is much more beautiful than this photo! It looks fabulous in our grown-up living room. The tan is actually a deeper tan than say a tan pair of Dockers. -Compact - We would never want...Read more By This review is from: Maclaren Rocker Tan/Crimson (Baby Product) We LOVE LOVE LOVE our Maclaren rocker, though we have a different color. Both of our kids have lived in it for their first few months. It reclines enough that a newborn can be comfortable, and is SO easy to adjust. I really don't use the canopy much, and the only downside I see is that that toy bar is permanently attached to it. However, the canopy detaches very easily and is not necessary. It's SO easy to place and remove a sleeping infant without it on. Both babies have napped nicely in the chair, and our firstborn wouldn't nap anywhere else!!! I slide the chair all throughout the house so I can shower, cook, etc. and always keep an eye on the baby. We have a papasan swing, and I think both babies have been more comfortable in the maclaren chair. The papasan seat seems to flex them too much forward for a newborn. This chair folds in half for easy travelling and storage. I think it's important to note that you are NOT supposed to use the carrying straps to carry an infant...Read more This review is from: Maclaren Rocker Tan/Crimson (Baby Product) This rocker is badly designed and cheaply built. For example, it is very uncomfortable to get the baby in and out of it. More importantly, the front handle only holds as long as the hood is in place. If the hood gets out of its base, then the whole handle folds and detaches from the chair. This is extremely dangerous and it is very hard to understand how the guys at Maclaren missed it. Avoid. |
