He was buckled in and he started chewing on the side as most all 5 month olds love to do. For what ever reason, I walked back in the living room from the kitchen wthout finishing getting my 3 yr old fully situated and I watched my son roll head first onto the floor, still buckled in and the seat falling down over top of him. His head was one way and his body was another. All it takes is a second for these little ones to manage themselves into a bad situation. Carters was awesome when I called with the complaint. They are sending me the postage to return the product to them, however, now I will be out the $60 or so that it cost me. I will know soon if they will compinsate me. The design is horrible. Baby is sat completely upright. So when they lean forward, as they do, where do you think they're going to go? I love Carter's clothes, but they have yet to buy me on their hardware. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Regulator "newbie" (NYC) - See all my reviews This review is from: Summer Infant Carter's Elephant Parade Cuddle Me Bouncer (Baby Product) Got this on our baby registry. Hey, it works, so not a one star review.
Cons: hard to put together, I was sweating after a while. Doesn't really bounce that much. My mother-in-law got the Fisher Price model. Our baby seems more comfortable in that. And it actually bounces. I like the music selection on the Carter's. However, it now buzzes so loudly that the music or sounds cannot be heard. Also, the bar off which the cute animals hang sort of broke and does not fit into its slot anymore. To replace the battery one needs a screwdriver by the way. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful: By Illuminato (New York, USA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Summer Infant Carter's Elephant Parade Cuddle Me Bouncer (Baby Product) This was given to us as a gift for our baby. It sort of worked for him for a month or two, but by the time he was three months old, he already grew too long for it. And our baby is relatively small! Now that he is four months old, he is way too big for it, but just getting to the age where the hanging toys are interesting to him. I am not sure why a bouncer would be designed to fit a one month old, but to stimulate a much older baby. His Baby Bjorn bouncer has and will work for him for much longer. |
